Welcome to the Howard University/University of Texas at El Paso (HUTEP, www.gs.howard.edu/agep) listserve for participants in its Postdoctoral Opportunities Preparation Institute. The Institute was co-sponsored by the National Science Foundation through its AGEP program (Alliances for Graduate Education and the Professoriate) and by the National Postdoctoral Association (http://www.nationalpostdoc.org/). In recent decades postdoctoral positions have become an increasingly important part of training for future faculty in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Decisions about postdoctoral opportunities have profound implications for the careers of future scientists, especially for underrepresented minority students. This listserve is there to support Institute participants after the Institute is over. It is meant to serve as a place one can go to get information, specific or general, about issues faced by postdoctoral fellows. It is not meant to be a venue for advertising programs. To post a message to all the list members, send email to hutep_postdoc@listserv.utep.edu. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to hutep_postdoc

Once confirmation is received, your request will be held for approval by the list moderator. You will be notified of the moderator's decision by email.
